Welcome, 2012.

If you told me a year ago,

“You’re going to write for a movie that will be premiered in Melbourne’s National Theatre.”

“You’re finally going to one of the world’s fashion capitals and one of your dream cities, London. And oh, with your own saving.
Paris, Netherlands, Germany, you’re almost there. But life says, “Wait. Not now.” ”

“You’re going to intern, write and have them published for a nationwide fashion and teen magazine”

“You’re going to have Jonathan Franzen, one of world’s best novelist to come and speak at Melb’s Writers Festival two days after your birthday. And the best part, your mom will be right there next to you, giving support and company.”

“You’re finally going to lose some of your weights and have countless people telling you the nicest things about it, even your mother and sister. But you gotta be careful with the year-end holiday syndrome, the non-stop eating syndrome. Ha!”

I wouldn’t believe you. No chance in hell I’m going to do all of those.

But hey, it happened. Fortunately.

Grace makes dreams come true.

But also… if you told me a year ago,

“You won’t be there when both of your nephews walked for the first time.”

“You won’t be there when your sister gave birth and few months after, had a miscarriage.”

“You won’t be there when your friend had a terrible accident and almost broke his neck.”

“You won’t be there when your friend lost one of his parents in a sudden.”

I probably wouldn’t sign up for this. I would have stayed home and not leave for a second.

But hey, it happened. Unfortunately.
Grace strengthened.

Cheers for 2011, for the fortunate days and the unfortunate moments.

Those days made us stronger, those tears sharpen us.

Welcome, 2012..
I gotta a feeling that this is just a beginning of an awesome journey.
